The residents of Salt Lake City represent a diversity of age, background, religion, ethnicity, culture, education, socioeconomic level, and lifestyle. The City Library’s collection development policy states that Library materials will be selected to reflect and meet the needs of our diverse community. Our Library recognizes the importance of including independent authors as a way of increasing the diversity of our collection and would like to give you the best chance of having your work selected.

Providing clear details about your title, a compelling summary of your work, as well as links to objective online or print reviews, will improve your chances of having your work selected. Examples of library review journals include Library Journal, Booklist, and Publisher’s Weekly. You may also seek reviews from local media or online book reviewers.
