Kids Café
Kids Café offers free snacks for kids up to age 18. Kids Café is available at four of our locations. This service is provided in partnership with the Utah Food Bank.
TWEEN LGBTQ+ BOOK CLUB
This book club is a virtual, inclusive, safe, monthly hangout for LGBTQ+ tweens and tween allies. Discuss books about characters who identify as LGBTQ+, play games, write, and have conversations.
VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
With Teen Squad, Summer Edition, students in grades 7–12 can gain hands-on work experience, meet other teens, and have fun while helping out the Library! Teens can apply from April 20 to May 10.
TINKER CLUB
Kids ages 8–12 can create, get messy, get techy, experiment, and just hang out together! Each week we'll have new drop-in activities, including things like robotics, button making, and more.

Reading Programs
The City Library has a year-round reading challenge for teens! All there is to do is read for 20 minutes, 20 times... and earn prizes in the end!
ACT® TEST PREP HELP
We've partnered with student volunteers from the University of Utah's Bennion Center that will help you prepare for taking the ACT®. Attend at least two virtual sessions and get a free ACT® study book!

Explore our huge collection of Manga and Graphic Novels. You'll learn something about Japanese culture along the way!
TWEEN BOOK CLUB
Read and discuss a book for tweens ages 10–12! Hang out, have fun, and share a love of reading. Meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of each month from 4:30–5:30pm at the Anderson-Foothill Branch.

TEEN Zine Team
Teen Zine Team is a fun hangout session where you can meet new people, and spark your own creativity and self-expression! Teens with any level of artistic experience are welcome in this inclusive, casual group.
CITY LIBRARY TEENS
The City Library's Teen Blog is a digital space designed just for teens. Our Teen Librarians regularly update the blog with DIY projects you can do from home, virtual events, and reading recommendations.
LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY TEENS (LET)
Get hands-on job experience and make new friends with the League of Extraordinary Teens. LET is a monthly club. You’ll work with librarians to help shape the ways The City Library serves teen customers.
